A Place to Explore
Hands-on learning, endless discovery.
Our hands-on exhibits and interactive activities spark curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. Whether exploring science, art, or imaginative play, students will engage in enriching experiences that inspire discovery beyond the classroom.
Children’s Museum of Franklin provides a dynamic environment for hands-on, developmentally appropriate play—an essential part of early learning and healthy development. Every space is thoughtfully designed to offer meaningful learning opportunities that foster connection, cooperation, imagination and exploration. Engaging, interactive exhibits inspire curiosity and connect children to a variety of curriculum areas.
For older students, Children’s Museum of Franklin provides a fun and engaging way to explore a range of STEAM concepts, expanding interests, reinforcing classroom learning, and sparking curiosity.

Add an Experience
Enhance your students experience at the museum by adding on a facilitator-led laboratory and makerspace experience. Curated together with museum staff to meet your grade-level needs, small groups of students will spend approximately 30 minutes in each space for a unique hands-on experience focused on a specific theme or learning goal. Some topic examples include: proper use of laboratory equipment and the scientific method, light, sound, weather, forces and motion, simple machines, the engineering design process, etc. The idea behind this is to collaborate with you to create a worthwhile and memorable learning experience!
Cost: Additional $5/child
